Jim Huston is a Managing Director with Blueprint Ventures, a technology growth capital firm which specializes in Corporate IP Spinouts. Jim brings more than 20 years of technology industry experience, having worked and invested in early stage technology companies throughout the world since 1995. Jim has extensive experience with Corporate IP Spinouts from both the corporate and venture capital perspectives. Blueprint Ventures has sourced and led spinouts from corporations such as Xerox, Brocade, Intel, Fujitsu, and NEC as well as spinouts from national labs and from universities.
Rich Karlson is a founding member and CEO of Freewire Broadband. Mr. Karlson's responsibilities include sales & marketing management, customer service, business development, real-estate acquisitions, and network planning. Mr. Karlson has over 25 years of sales and business development history with well known corporations in the retail, wholesale, and sports industries. Mr. Karlsons' specific strengths reside in his unique ability to assemble success oriented management teams. Mr. Karlson co-founded the retail chain of "Colorado Stores" from store #1 in Las Vegas, to 53 stores nationwide operating at $60 million within 5 years, prior to selling the company to the Venator Group. Mr. Karlson holds a BA in Business Administration from Idaho State University with majors in Management and Marketing. Mr. Karlsons' motto is "Undersell and Over-deliver".
Ron Resnick serves as President and Chairman of the WiMAX Forum, a position he has held since 2004. He is employed by Intel as a member of the Mobility Group. In June 2002, Ron launched and became general manager of Intel's Broadband Wireless Access business startup focused on wireless Metropolitan Area Network ("last mile") technology. Ron joined Intel in April of 2000 where, as director of new business development for Intel's Corporate Technology Group, he managed technology commercialization efforts within Intel's labs. He concurrently served as a staff member of Intel's New Business Initiatives, an internal venture fund established to attract and incubate new business efforts internal to Intel.
Stephen Wu is Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing for NextWave Wireless and NextWave Broadband. Prior to joining NextWave, Mr. Wu was a founding and General Partner of The Carlyle Group's Asian Venture Capital & Technology Funds (CAVP I an CAVP II.)
Previously, Mr. Wu spent over a decade at Microsoft Corporation where he held various senior and general management positions at the company's Product Groups, Consulting and Sales divisions. As the practice leader in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Wu's team delivered software solutions for Boeing's 777 aircraft, Nordstrom and leading Fortune 50 companies. He was a General Manager in Microsoft's Sales and Marketing Division, and during his later years at Microsoft oversaw Microsoft's Telecoms, MSN and Consumer Group businesses across Asia and the South Pacific including relationships with network operators, advertising, content and media partners and the company's Asian Internet investments. In his work with network operators, Mr. Wu directed the licensing of Microsoft's technology for the development of broadband, wireless and satellite Internet and data services, and pioneered Microsoft's annuity and revenue-sharing business models. As the General Manager for Microsoft's Consumer Group businesses in Asia, Mr. Wu established Microsoft's MSN online business in Asia, launching the MSN network in nine Asian markets.
Mr. Wu was educated in Cambridge, England, and holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Computer and Systems Engineering from Boston University.

Stephen E. Babson is a Managing Director of Endeavour Capital, the Pacific Northwest's largest regional private equity firm, with $450 million in committed capital and offices in Portland and Lake Oswego, Oregon, Seattle, Washington and Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1991, Endeavour invested its fourth fund in recapitalizations, management buyouts, divisional spinouts and going private transactions, with portfolio companies in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Northern California and Colorado. Endeavour is currently in the process of raising its fifth fund and expanding its geographical region to the Western United States.
James C. Dreyfous, Managing Director, founded UV Partners in 1986 and has been involved as a Managing Partner since its formation. UV Partners was one of the lead investors in Riverbed Technologies (NASDAQ:RVBD), the single best performing IPO in 2006. He has worked with every one of UV Partners’ portfolio companies. Mr. Dreyfous exemplifies the UVP focus and approach: active with founders and directors; experienced in building and developing management teams; and adept at accessing relationships which allow for attraction of expertise and capital at every stage of a company’s growth. He was an investor and/or Board Member of Anesta (IPO), CardioPulmonics (IPO), Iomed (IPO), Sonus (IPO), Sonic Innovations (IPO), Clyde Digital (acquired by Axent), VaporFab (acquired by INCO) and Knowlix (acquired by Peregrine Systems). Mr. Dreyfous’ earlier career experience was in commercial banking, private investments, and small business management. He was an officer of Citicorp and Bankers Trust, and was a principal for a privately-held oil and gas production and distribution company. Mr. Dreyfous currently serves on the board of a number of portfolio companies (Carefx, Skylight Systems, Venafi) and philanthropic boards and is active in the civic community. He holds a BA in Economics from Middlebury College. Mr. Dreyfous was recently appointed to the Utah Science, Technology and Research (USTAR) Governing Authority Board by the Governor and State Legislature. In addition, he is a member of the University of Utah Technology Commercialization Advisory Board and serves on the Board of Directors of the Lassonde New Venture Development Center at the University of Utah.

Chrismon has personally worked with more than 60 companies focusing on organizational change, individual and team leadership development, and CEO coaching and transition. Clients have included public, non-profit, and private companies across numerous industries. Chrismon is also the co-founder of OpNote, a medical software company located in New York City. Chrismon holds a Masters and Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from The Claremont Graduate University.

National Venture Capital Association
As President of the National Venture Capital Association, Mark Heesen is responsible for setting the strategic direction for all Association activities, including public policy efforts, research initiatives, educational programs, and member services. In this capacity, Mark works closely with the NVCA professional staff and Board of Directors to demonstrate the positive impact of venture capital investment on the United States economy. Under his direction, the NVCA has created numerous value-added sub-groups including the CFO Task Force, Strategic Communications Group, Corporate Venture Capital Group, Medical Industry Group and Human Capital forum, all of which are dedicated to supporting NVCA membership in uniquely critical areas.
As a spokesperson for the venture capital industry, Mark is often called upon by the financial media, NVCA members, limited partners, and regional associations to present the overarching venture capital perspective to a wider audience. He is a frequent presenter at industry conferences, appears regularly on CNBC, and is consistently quoted in the press in stories concerning venture capital trends.
Since 1991, Mark has worked on behalf of the NVCA to enact a wide range of policies that benefit the venture capital and entrepreneurial communities, including a significant capital gains differential, securities litigation reform, numerous SEC and FASB accounting issues, immigration reform, and a streamlining of the FDA and CMS approval processes, among other issues.
Prior to coming to the NVCA, Mark was an aide to a former Governor of Pennsylvania and was Deputy Director for Federal Funds reporting to the Texas Legislature. Mark received a law degree with an emphasis in taxation from the Dickinson School of Law in 1984.

Nancy Floyd is the Founder and Managing Director of Nth Power.Ms. Floyd has led Nth Power's investments in Silicon Energy (Nasdaq: ITRI), Northern Power (Nasdaq: DESC), Smartsynch, Serveron, SpectraSensors, Imperium Renewables and Thetus. In addition to these Boards, Ms. Floyd sits on the boards of the Cleantech Venture Network, Center for Resource Solutions and ACORE (American Council on Renewable Energy). She has been an adviser to the National Renewable Energy Lab and, until recently, was a board member of Sustainable Asset Management in Zurich, Switzerland.
Prior to founding Nth Power, Ms. Floyd built, managed and negotiated the sale of two high-growth energy and telecommunications companies. In 1982, she founded NFC Energy Corporation, one of the country's first wind development firms utilizing advanced technology developed by NASA and Sandia Labs. She developed over $30 million in projects and sold the company, generating a 25-fold return on the original capital invested in three years. In 1985, she helped found PacTel Spectrum Services, a network management company for private voice and data networks and a subsidiary of Pacific Telesis. Ms. Floyd was responsible for the nationwide launch of Spectrum Services, which was ultimately sold to IBM in 1987.

Brad Zenger is a dynamic executive and entrepreneur with a demonstrated record of success in developing and building new businesses. As a Principal in Ecoworks, a consulting and early stage investment firm, Brad leveraged his experience to help organizations identify emerging market opportunities to deliver compelling solutions and profitable revenue growth in the sustainable economy. Brad has made investments in biofuels and water purification opportunities.
Brad Zenger, along with four others founded Pixelworks Inc. (www.pixelworks.com) in 1997. The company raised over $40M in venture capital prior to conducting a successful IPO in May of 2000 (NASDAQ: PXLW). From its inception, Brad ran Marketing & Sales where revenues reached $140M in 2003 when he left to form Ecoworks.
Prior to founding Pixelworks, Brad served in multiple marketing and customer support management roles in two high tech companies, In Focus Systems in Oregon (www.infocus.com) and KLA Instruments (www.kla-tencor.com) in Santa Clara, California. At In Focus Systems, Brad drove the marketing strategy including channel and brand development.
Brad is a member of the Board of Councilors for the China-US Center for Sustainable Development (www.chinauscenter.org), a non-profit organization that is working to enable sustainable development, or the circular economy, through the development of sustainable communities and enterprises in China and the U.S. Brad, building on his interest and experience doing business in Asia has worked to evaluate opportunities to leverage U.S. technology, investment and know-how to improve the opportunity for sustainable development in China. His recent focus has been evaluating the opportunity for local biofuels development in rural areas.
Brad also serves as an adjunct professor at Portland State University School of Business Administration (www.pdx.edu) where he teaches graduate level courses in International Marketing and Strategy.

Skyway was subsequently acquired by Union Pacific Corporation (UPN) in 1994. Jim graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland and served five years as a Navy pilot from 1969 to 1974.
John Springer, Director of Global Operations for Nike Golf, a unit of Nike Inc., has extensive global supply chain management and logistics experience having held both domestic and international logistics positions at IBM Corporation, Union Pacific Corporation and Dell Computer. Mr. Springer is a member of the Board of Directors of Stonepath Group (AMEX:STG). In addition to his extensive transportation and logistics employment experience, Mr. Springer has been active in the Council of Logistics Management throughout his career, including holding the position of President for the Central Texas region. He earned his B.S. at Syracuse University in Transportation & Distribution Management, and his MBA from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas.
Indu Navar, CEO of Serus Corporation is a seasoned technologist and entrepreneur who has been a part of the success of a number of outstanding Silicon Valley companies. Indu Navar honed her management and leadership skills at Healtheon (WebMD), Silicon Graphics, Black and White Software (Segue) and NASA, among others. Co-founder and president for RightOn, she led the team responsible for the creation of a web and wireless--based optimized scheduling solution for the service industry. As part of the initial team of engineers at Healtheon, Ms. Navar oversaw the design and architecture of the healthcare infrastructure applications while being at the forefront of using emerging technologies for application scalability, reliability and performance. At Silicon Graphics, Ms. Navar was the technical lead responsible for the development of Intranet productivity applications that streamlined call handling. In addition, she managed the training of the company's customer support engineers, for the worldwide customer support division. Earlier in her career, Ms. Navar founded and served as president for Aquasoft Consulting; developed a software media distribution solution for Cisco System's Supply Chain; and worked with NASA to develop a flight black box data recorder extraction and simulation application. In India, she led the development of wireless telephony systems for the Indian Telephone Company - providing remote villages with phone communication for the first time. Ms. Navar was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, India and Master of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Chico.
